Renuvion or J-Plasma is a surgical procedure that stimulates the generation of collagen and elastin in the skin and provides immediate rejuvenation. It uses medical cold helium and radiofrequency energy to contract the skin and eliminate sagging of the treated area.
It can be performed in different parts of the body such as abdomen, arms, thighs, neck and back. In addition, Renuvion is used as a complementary procedure for fat removal surgeries such as laser liposuction, since it generates a retraction of the skin leaving it smooth and without contour imperfections.
Renuvion, or J-Plasma, is a minimally invasive, outpatient, surgical procedure that allows the skin to adhere to the muscles, which is why it is a popular technique for correcting the patient’s cellulite or “orange peel” skin.
Approximate procedure time is 2 hours.
How does Renuvion work?
The procedure is minimally invasive and the incisions made are as discreet as possible so that they are imperceptible, and the healing is very aesthetic.
The patient will be able to go home the same day of the surgery and resume their daily activities the following day, if desired. However, they must follow all the medical recommendations given. It is suggested to avoid physical exercise during the following 2 weeks after surgery.
